No. I'm not dead. Although I haven't written a new post in nearly month, I have been
working on a lot of cool side projects and have been finding inspiration
in lots of different places. I've also been working on my show-reel for 2011. It's coming out really awesome. I decided for my intro name and info I would try to animate it in an old school design. A lot of my show-reel has a retro vintage feel. (no I'm not talking about the cliche hipster look ;) Even the music by Mt Eden entitled Sioman Says (which is the soundtrack i used for my 2011 show-reel) has an awesome feel and tone.
One art style I've really been diggin lately is that of the 1960's. I'm not sure if its been the fact that I've been listening to the black keys on a daily bases, or because I have been watching films recently from that era. But the 1960's had such a unique style and an explosion of innovation that impacted the motion graphic industry for years to come.
Here are a few of the video clips that I do have say are quite inspiring.
